Good morning, POETRY First Fig By Edna St. Vincent Millay My candle burns at both ends; It will not last the night; But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends— It gives a lovely light! MUSIC My mother was a great music lover. Besides being an accomplished violinist and teacher of music, she loved music, particularly symphonic music. Music was playing in our home all the time—classical, jazz, show tunes, and the American songbook. She had a collection of 78 RPM records that sits in our garage.
