CORRECTION #570 Musings Beyond the Bunker (Monday January 30)
Good morning,
I suppose it was inevitable there would come a time when an error in the Musings was so egregious that it would require immediate correction, so as not to confuse the meaning. Such is the case this morning, where I was attempting to show that end-of-life decisions often lack sufficient data upon which to make an informed choice. To demonstrate that those with knowledge will make different decisions, I tried to say that most physicians will not die in a hospital but will choose to die at home. I mangled the quote, which was meant to say that 80% of us will die in a hospital, while 80% of physicians will die at home. I’m used to the occasional error through lack of proofreading. This one, however, changed the meaning to utter nonsense!
Have a great day!
