#267 Musings Beyond the Bunker (Saturday February 5)
Good morning,
POETRY
Marion, thank you for this short beauty from Robert Frost, which you recited to me from memory!:
Lodged
by Robert Frost
The rain to the wind said,
'You push and I'll pelt.'
They so smote the garden bed
That the flowers actually knelt,
And lay lodged--though not dead.
I know how the flowers felt.
MUSIC
From when we were actually “bunkered down,” a couple of noteworthy productions from home in 2020:
Swan Lake, performed by professional dancers from around the world, performing from their homes (well, actually, bathtubs), directed by Corey Baker:
been sitting on my toilet seat(directors chair) for the past few months in lock down making... #SwanLakeBathBallet (out now on @BBCiPlayer @bbcarts) 27 elite dancers across the globe perform from their home filled bath tubs a modern-day Swan Lake made remotely during #Covid19.
I enjoyed this “music from the home front”:
Happy weekend,
Glenn
